Create a "Welcome Home" Message for Glenn and Miriam!
The Membership Committee invites you to create a brief and personal video message for our co-pastors, Miriam and Glenn Leupold, to welcome their return from sabbatical in September. Focusing on the "refresh and return" part of their Sabbatical theme, think about answering one or two of these questions:
- What did you miss most about Glenn and Miriam?
- What did you do to "refresh" yourself during their sabbatical time (May to August)?
- What are your hopes for their return?
- What is some special news about you, your family or First Pres?
On Sundays August 21 and 28, Dwight Cheu will be available to videotape your message in the church library before the worship service from 8:30-9:15am and after the service.
Would you prefer to create your own video message? Please follow these instructions, and submit your video to dwightcheu@gmail.com:
- Use a location with good lighting and relatively quiet. If in bright sunlight try to position yourself in the shade.
- Hold the phone / tablet sideways so that the video is in landscape mode. Try to keep the phone as still as possible.
- Closer is better. Try to fill the frame with the upper half of the subject.
- Duration: 10 - 15 seconds.
We will also have stationery available on Sunday mornings for anyone who would like to write a "welcome home" message for Glenn and Miriam. For questions, please contact: Carol Green at greencarol777@gmail.com, 518-331-1447.

Save the Date - Sunday, September 11 - Welcome Home!
Soon we will welcome back our co-pastors, Glenn and Miriam Leupold! They will join us in the First Pres sanctuary for their first worship service since returning from their sabbatical. Save the date and plan to stay for a celebration immediately following the service.

Handbell Choir Returns
Bell Choir rehearsals will resume Thursday, September 15, at 6:00pm in the sanctuary. We are looking for several new members for what is a very unique and fun musical experience. Experience ringing bells is not necessary, however, the ability to read music, especially rhythm and counting, and follow a score is required.
We perform for occasional Sunday worship services, Christmas Eve service and possibly for First Friday programs. Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected. We will, of course, observe COVID protocols as required. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Jack Holmes via email at Jack.W.Holmes@gmail.com. I would like to hear from returning members as well.

FELLOWSHIP TIME: We're pleased to announce that Fellowship Time is once again being held either in Assembly Hall or outside on Willett St. following the Sunday Worship Service. The Hospitality Team Coordinator Deacon David Hinchen is organizing this effort. As we no longer have a custodian and are no longer relying on flocks to oversee this task, we're seeking members of the congregation to assist with making coffee, bringing snacks, setting up and putting things away. If you're available on any upcoming Sundays, please contact:
