Dormans Coffee
Dormans was delighted to host U.S. Ambassador Meg Whitman at its FSCC 22000 accredited coffee processing facility in Tatu City. A coffee lover, and in her own words “one of the millions of Americans who start the day with a delicious cup of coffee”, the ambassador was delighted with the "Coffee Cherry to Cup" experience.

The tour kicked off with a visit to our renowned Nairobi School of Coffee, which is where excellent baristas currently working in the Kenyan hospitality scene receive their training. The next stop was Dormans' coffee warehouse, and where the ambassador was taken through the pre-export processes. Coffee roasting is at the heart of Dormans' operations, and Ambassador Whitman observed how the intricate roasting process transforms green beans into aromatic flavorful coffee. The tour culminated in a cupping session at the Quality Control room, where she tasted several different varieties of coffee.

At Dormans, coffee is the lifeblood of the business, and the team is dedicated to investing in the consistency, quality, and safety of processes and products.
