Tatu City hosted the Secretariat of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) for knowledge exchange at the region's first operational mixed-use Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Led by Lucas Mwago, the Chief Trade Development Officer at Kenya’s Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, the COMESA Secretariat delegation of trade and SEZ experts discussed design, taxation regulatory framework, infrastructure requirements, planning and development. Tatu City has garnered important lessons through its growth journey to help governments and private and public entities with similar visions. US-Kenya Business Roadshow

Tatu City is pleased to have participated in the 2023 U.S.-Kenya Business Roadshow, where the U.S. Government’s Prosper Africa initiative and U.S. Embassy in Kenya convened leading businesses and investors, along with a delegation of Kenyan government officials in New York City. At the event, Ambassador Whitman announced six new Prosper Africa co-investments with Kenyan and American apparel companies valued at USD 55 million. These new co-investments build on the 14 deals President William S. Ruto announced at the American Chamber of Commerce Summit in March in Nairobi.

Fridah Ndinda shines in the Absa South Africa race!

Congratulations to Fridah Ndinda for flying the Kenyan and Tatu City flags high in the Absa Run Your City 10km run in Gqeberha, South Africa. After intense training at Tatu City, she finished in second position with a personal best time of 31:40. Fridah also won the Lukenya one million trees 10km marathon in Machakos County, finishing in 32 mins. Tatu City recognises the importance of residents’ and visitors’ health and fitness.
