A season for giving
Nondescripts Rugby Football Club, the oldest rugby club in Kenya, and Shamas Rugby Foundation, a nonprofit that uses rugby to uplift and support children and young people, donated rugby equipment to Tatu Primary School, a state school in Tatu City. The sports equipment will go a long way in empowering and motivating Tatu Primary learners to nurture their talent in rugby. Tatu City is proud to be the largest sponsor of Shamas. A warm welcome to Tatu City
We were delighted to welcome Prof. Anyang Nyong’o, Governor of Kisumu County, to Tatu City for a benchmarking visit. With his vision to deliver state-of-the-art agro-industrial facilities in Kisumu, Governor Nyong’o reviewed how Tatu City’s Special Economic Zone (SEZ) functions. This visit follows one by President William Ruto, who praised the city’s progress and declared that the government will continue to promote SEZs.

Tatu City also hosted a business delegation of executives from some of South Africa's leading brands. They were keen to learn about SEZs as enablers of trade. Tatu City represents the largest South African private investment concentration in Kenya, with Distell, ADvTECH and Africa Rainbow Capital as major businesses in the city. Game Jam at Crawford
Tatu City was a proud sponsor of the first annual Game Jam that was organized and run by Crawford International School students. It was a competitive game design and development event where students made a video game from the start based on a theme through coding, design and play. The participants were programmers, game designers and artists. It was a great opportunity for students to demonstrate and develop their transferable skills such as creativity, collaboration, grit and self-efficacy. Dormans in Tatu City

Christmas is a time of joy, celebration and thanksgiving!  In this spirit, Dormans delights in giving back to communities through every cup of exceptional coffee. In November, Dormans participated in the Forest Challenge at Kereita in the Aberdares and joined nature enthusiasts, corporates and conservationists to restore key water catchment areas. The numerous impactful activities, events, and fairs of 2022 have been very welcome signs of a gradual return to normalcy following the disruptions of the pandemic. This year, Dormans collaborated with the Tatu City community in a tree planting exercise, empowered youth at Nairobi School and partnered with coffee stakeholders in gender balance initiatives. On the entertainment scene, audiences enjoyed savoring Dormans coffee at the World Rally Championship, the Tusker Oktoberfest and the Kalasha International Film & TV Awards. 2022 also saw the comeback of the Kenya National Barista Championships, with Dormans as a key sponsor. Team Dormans expresses their heartfelt appreciation to all customers, partners and friends for supporting this turnaround. Compliments of the season, and Happy Holidays to one and all!
