You will hear about the Seattle Humane partnership and our other innovative programs including the 
Teaching Academy, Diagnostic Challenges, Clinical and Professional Skills Lab and more!

One year ago, Seattle Humane moved into a new $30 million building that combines an animal shelter, adoption center and a veterinary teaching hospital that is run in collaboration with the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Because of this partnership with Seattle Humane, WSU veterinary students are far better prepared to succeed in the veterinary profession upon graduation. Our students gain valuable hands-on surgical experience during a two-week clinic rotation, which increases their confidence as surgeons.
Tours of the new state-of-the-art facility will begin at 5:30 p.m., and will be offered throughout the event.
