17-Oct-2018 Parenting Group Facilitator Network Meeting Location: Cameron Park
This network is open to anyone who facilitates Triple P, Stepping Stones, Circle of Security, 123 Magic or other parenting programs or other Early Learning Events in the Hunter Region.
We will have Practice discussions in small groups based on current parenting programs being delivered with Support Videos & discussions in a large group to follow.
11-Mar to 14-Mar 2019 Circle of Security® Parenting™ Facilitator Training Presented by: Glen Cooper - Circle of Security Co-Originator Location:Newcastle
Circle of Security® Parenting™ is a parent-reflection program offering the core components of the evidence-based and internationally acclaimed COS protocol. This 4-Day training teaches professionals to use an eight-chapter DVD to educate parents and caregivers. The program presents video examples of secure and problematic parent/child interaction, healthy options in care giving, and animated graphics designed to clarify principles central to COS. Circle of Security Parenting implements decades of attachment research in an accessible step-by-step process for use in group settings, home visitation, or individual counselling.
This event is being hosted by the Hunter Networks of Practice and will be fully catered.
24-Sep-2018 Effective Group Leadership Workshop Location: Broadmeadow
This 2-day workshop develops the necessary skills for group leaders to facilitate creative group work. The training covers the principles of using creative group work techniques and tools. The focus includes changing group dynamics, trauma informed group work practice, increased understanding of motivational group work models for change and the use of practical creative exercises. All participants receive a Group Leadership Skills Report on their strengths and areas for development.
