DWB Renovation and F&B Update
Our governments' COVID restrictions have been very taxing on Hong Kong’s citizens fortitude and business' patience and resilience in general, and particularly difficult for the normally outdoor active members of our Club. If there is any silver lining at all, it is that we have taken advantage of the slow down to take care of some much-needed renovation of the Deep Water Bay Clubhouse Lounge, Men’s Changing Room and Kitchen.
Architecturally, the new design of the Lounge is to be open with the aim to take advantage of the sea view as soon as one enters the club. The décor will be modern and refreshing. The design of the Men’s Changing Room is to be spacious and bright with materials easy for cleaning and management.
F&B at DWB will be rebranded with updated menus which will emphasize on fresh ingredients, attentive preparation, and modern presentation. We will try our best to commit to both MSG-free and preservative-free sourcing and processing. The club will gradually introduce weekdays happy hour, afternoon tea, and dinner experience that is worthy of our location and view.
We are very happy to report that construction work is almost completed and, on April 21, the entire DWB premises will be reopen for operation with the exception of the installation of the bar, the cabinetry in the lounge, and the cabinetry and counter in the men’s changing room due to the COVID back up in border operation between the SAR and the Mainland. Installation of those items is to be completed in the first or second week of May and it is hoped that full F&B services will be resumed by the same time.
