Thank You!

Thank you to all of our donors for a successful 2016 Annual Fundraising Appeal. Individual gifts are critical for the programs we are so proud of, like ReSET and the eCenter. Together we are working to fulfill our mission to enhance community, economy, and environment through reuse.
Your support helps us continue to transform used materials into community resources and fulfill our organizational mission to enhance community, economy, and environment through reuse. Together, we are creating positive ways for people to be engaged and empowered in our workforce and our community, and keeping loads of great stuff from going to waste while we’re at it.

Congratulations to our Partners: Tompkins County Recycling & Materials Management!

Formerly known as Tompkins County Division of Recycling & Solid Waste, we are delighted at the name change, helping all of us to better understand that local materials and goods are actually local resources with real value. Always putting Tompkins County on the leading edge, Barbara Eckstrom and her team of friendly and dedicated staff have always wanted a ReUse Center in Tompkins County. We’re happy to oblige – thank you and congratulations!

Thank You To The Cascade Alliance

(l-r, Bethany Cartledge from Cascade Alliance, Retail Supervisor Bill Woodard, Director of Business Services Chris Pletcher, Transport Services Coordinator Jess Orkin and ReUse Training Director Anise)

Finger Lakes ReUse is excited to announce that we have begun selling clothes and books at the Triphammer ReUse Center!
Our partnerships with the Cascade Alliance and Tompkins County Recycling & Materials Management  have helped us understand that there is a vast amount of material still to be captured, and not only is there a supply, there is also a demand. Led by titan of the reuse industry, St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County, Oregon, and funded in part by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Cascade Alliance partners provide key technical assistance to help develop waste based industries to help create jobs for vulnerable populations. We are fortunate, proud, honored and delighted to have the guidance of the Cascade Alliance.
Have you recently upgraded to a new television, computer, smartphone, or stereo system? Donate your used electronics to Finger Lakes ReUse! The items we sell at our two ReUse Centers - Ithaca ReUse Center (214 Elmira Road, Ithaca, NY) and Triphammer ReUse Center (2255 Triphammer Road at Triphammer Marketplace, Ithaca NY) - help to reduce the waste stream and support programs like the ReSET Job Training Program and the eCenter refurbishing program..
