A Great Region is Built on a Strong Foundation

First Quarterly Newsletter

Welcome to the Metro Chamber Foundation’s newsletter!  Our region is moving fast, and the Foundation is keeping pace through the promotion of young professionals, emerging leaders, and philanthropy.  Whether you currently participate in our programs, have in the past, or may in the future – this is designed to keep you up to date with what we are doing and how you can get involved.

Two of our strategic programs include Metro EDGE and Leadership Sacramento – each designed to bridge education and workforce gaps for emerging leaders and young professionals. The Metro Chamber Foundation also administers an annual grant-making program, Inspire Giving.  Just this year, we are piloting a long-desired Mentoring Program, and in partnership with Mayor Darrell Steinberg, we will be working with our business community to host youth internships.

Together, these programs help young professionals connect, embrace individuals who lead, and encourage businesses to give back and serve the communities they call home.

Keep reading for program updates, upcoming events and opportunities to engage!

A Little is Enough, if Enough People Do it

Inspire Giving Update

Inspire Giving is proud to announce Lilliput Families as our 2017 grant recipient. We will beautify and update the parking lot and entrances to their Citrus Heights Family and Training Center. These renovations will help Lilliput continue to create an environment where all those who visit feel welcomed and inspired. This will empower Lilliput Families to continue as a vital contributor to the well-being of children and families in our region.

It's never too late to join Inspire Giving! You can click here or text Inspire17 to 27722 to submit your donation. When you become a member of Inspire Giving, you become part of a network of peers who share a common passion: to make a positive social impact in the Sacramento region by joining other donors to celebrate philanthropy and together, make a larger financial impact than one individual could ever make on their own.

Mark your calendars for Big Day of Giving on May 4th. Inspire Giving is excited to participate in this regional day of giving and it's the perfect opportunity to become a member of Inspire Giving.
