You are invited to attend Spotlight on SEL and Mental Health: Enhancing Systems of Student Support on May 16th. This conference will bring together educators and practitioners from across the state to highlight the incredible work taking place in schools and districts as they seek to address the mental and behavioral health needs of Massachusetts students. Please join us for a full day of programming, including welcoming remarks from DESE Commissioner Jeffrey C. Riley; a keynote presentation by Dr. Kevin M. Simon, Chief Behavioral Health Officer for the City of Boston; breakout sessions with leaders in the fields of social-emotional learning and school mental health; and opportunities to learn from peers about their efforts to build multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) that enhance student wellbeing.

This conference will provide participants with space to reflect on the work they have done to strengthen MTSS in their schools. Additionally, participants will be able to collaborate on tools and practices that proactively address students’ mental health needs in the future.
