Our Wedding!!
Dear <<First Name>>

On July 7th I married Jennifer Dyson whom I met while serving as Music Intern at New City Fellowship in Chattanooga, Tennessee during the Summer of 2017. We were married in Chanute, Kansas which is Jennifer’s hometown.

We thank God for bringing us together and for His many blessings. For the past year Jennifer has been assisting with administrative support and concert scheduling for ANAM. Jennifer will be visiting Liberia soon and will be joining me sometime in the next year. Please keep Jennifer and me in your prayers as we work to do ministry in Liberia.

Progress in Liberia!
I want to thank you for your prayers as I traveled back to Liberia on August 7th. I arrived safely on Wednesday night, August 8th and have been working to reestablish and settle back into Monrovia. My first four weeks in Liberia have been wonderful and much has been accomplished. I have been working with the co-founders and members of the board of ANAM, assessing our current needs and making plans.

With the help of the co-founders and board, we were able to accomplish the following:

Our Home Office Team
We have hired an Administrative Marketing Assistant, and an Office Assistant, to help with the running of ANAM. I will meet with this team every week to discuss our strengths and areas to improve.

Financial Control System
With the help of this team and under the direction of Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, our USA ministry sending organization, we have established an accounting system to record all financial transactions to ensure financial integrity and stewardship of funds entrusted to ANAM by the Lord through our faithful partners.

The Lord has provided a Home for ANAM – Tremendous Blessing & Urgent Need
We have leased the Brewo House in Monrovia to run our programs for an initial period of one year, from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019. Brewo House is in a strategic location, giving us great visibility in the center of town. This location will house our office, a music library, a practice room, two classrooms, and a storage area. We thank God for the blessing of securing our own space to run ANAM. (pictures)

In preparing Brewo House for operation, we are in the process of painting, cleaning, checking and repairing the electrical system, and some carpentry work. We are in immediate need of $2,500 to complete the work necessary to become fully functional. Please consider contributing to support this important project. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Please share our information with your friends and families.

Upcoming Activities
It feels great to be back in Liberia and fully leading ANAM again! In the next couple months, I will be:
  • Preparing for a teachers training workshop for ANAM’s teachers. Our goal is to launch classes in January
  • Presenting ANAM and building relationships with various churches & denominations in Liberia to see how we can partner toward transforming Liberia through Christian Art-Education.
  • A one-week intensive training will be conducted here by Dr. Martina Vasil, Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Vasil is expected to arrive in Liberia on October 7th, please pray for her safe travel.
  • Piano Recital at U.S. Ambassador Residence - On October 11th, I will be presenting a Piano Recital at the residence of Amb. Christian Elder, U.S. Ambassador to Liberia. The goal of the Recital is to thank the U.S. Embassy for their support to ANAM over the years, and to share with the Embassy Staff our vision and encourage them to participate with us in furthering our mission. I was also honored to meet with the Ambassador at her office on Tuesday Sept 4th where I briefly shared my ministry vision.

As you can see, a lot has happened in just a few short weeks. I am amazed and extremely grateful to the Lord for His provision and blessings.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Faithfully yours
Samson Tarpeh
Executive Director
