Invitation for Reports from Monthly Meetings
The best of Sierra-Cascades Yearly Meeting of Friends happens in its member meetings, so we are inviting all member churches to give an 8 to 10 minute report to quarterly gathering on Feb. 20th on Zoom.
Click here for quotes and questions which may help get you started. Choose any one or two; we’d like reports from each church, so time will unfortunately be limited.
If you have more reflections, happenings, advice than will fit in a 10 minute report, we would love for you to put the extra material into a SCYMF bulletin article, video on our website, blog, SCYMF Facebook page post – however the Spirit leads.
Reports don’t need to be glowing and full of good news; sometimes what is most inspiring is hearing of difficulties and problems addressed or in process; it is "the hill we climb."
Judy Maurer, clerk of Coordinating
A Note from the Nominating Committee
We always welcome nominations for any committee or working group (see a list with descriptions HERE). You can use our nomination form HERE to nominate yourself or someone else. While all committees have space for more members, we are particularly aware of the following needs: the Finance Committee, the Youth Committee, and the Coordinating Committee. The Nominating Committee encourages you to spend some time in prayerful discernment about whether you or someone you know might be called to participate in one of these ways.
Matt Boswell, clerk of Nominating
