Quarterly Gathering Survey

We are interested in your thoughts and feedback, if you are willing to share, to help us in planning future virtual Quarterly Gatherings. Whether you attended or not, we'd like to hear from you. Here is a link to a short (5 questions) anonymous survey.

—The Annual/Quarterly Gathering Committee

Anti-Racist Giving Workshop

The Equity and Inclusion Committee invites you to the Anti-Racist Giving Workshop, November 19, from 6–8 p.m. via Zoom, where we will consider together the following questions:
  • How do our identities shape our relationships with money, philanthropy, and giving?
  • What does it look like to center giving as part of an anti-racist practice?
  • How do we decide when, to who, and how much to give?
  • How do we give money without reinforcing oppressive dynamics?
The workshop will support Sierra-Cascades to develop shared language and principles around giving. Learning and feedback from this workshop will inform Equity and Inclusion's Subcommittee on Anti-Racist Giving as we develop a recommendation for the Yearly Meeting's donations.

Open and at no cost for all members/attenders of Sierra Cascades local churches and meetings and individual Yearly Meeting members. Register here - https://forms.gle/hEFwmnQpLvptUJrF6

The Spiritual Deepening Library

Quaker faith and practice began with a question:  "What canst thou say?"  400 years later, asking questions remains the essence of our faith.

The Spiritual Deepening Library, offered by FGC, invites newcomers, individuals, and meetings to explore the questions that transform lives and take them deeper in the life of the Spirit. The Spiritual Deepening Library offers resources, readings, queries, and activities that support spiritual exploration for individuals and small groups.

The Spiritual Deepening Library is a collection of exercises meant to deepen the life, worship, connection, and witness of individuals and meetings through the exploration of Quaker thought and practice, sharing and deep listening. The Library has materials for adults and children.
